The arrival of new books at Engilae Primary School was more than just a delivery of learning materials—it was a moment of excitement, discovery, and renewed hope for young readers. Thanks to the generous support of the Australian Books for Children of Africa (ABCA), our learners were gifted a collection of reading books that instantly filled classrooms with curiosity and joy. As the school administration presented the books to the learners on behalf of ABCA, the atmosphere was electric. Smiles spread across the faces of pupils as they flipped through colorful pages, eager to begin their reading adventures.
Reading is a powerful doorway to imagination and knowledge, and for many of our learners, these books represent an opportunity to explore worlds beyond the classroom. The excitement during the presentation was undeniable. Pupils held the books with pride, sharing them with friends and asking when they could start reading them. It was a reminder that even a simple act of generosity can ignite a lifelong love for learning.
This meaningful donation was made possible through the strength of collaboration and networking. We are deeply grateful to Tajizuri Organization, whose Chief Executive Officer, Madam Martina, played a crucial role in connecting our school with this incredible opportunity. Her commitment to supporting education and empowering young learners helped bridge the gap between goodwill and impact, ensuring that Engilae Primary School could benefit from this generous gesture.
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to Madam Edna Odongo from ABCA, whose swift response and willingness to support our learners made the donation possible. Her dedication to improving access to reading materials for African children reflects the true spirit of educational partnership and global solidarity. Through her efforts, our pupils now have resources that will nurture their literacy skills and inspire their dreams.
As a school community, we extend our sincere gratitude to ABCA, Madam Martina, and Madam Edna Odongo for their kindness and support. Their contribution will continue to shape the learning journey of our pupils for years to come. At Engilae Primary School, these books are not just pages bound together—they are seeds of knowledge, imagination, and opportunity planted in the hearts of our learners. 📚✨
